    Abstract
Lacrosse is a sport that dates back to the 15th century when it was played by Native Americans. Since then the game has evolved and is now played by many demographics including women. The women’s game is a unique game that starts with the draw. The draw is a technique to start or resume play in which a ball is placed in between the sticks of two opposing players, a whistle is blown, the sticks are drawn up and away, and the ball is sent above the heads of the player before one of the players takes possession of it. In this study, the correlation between winning the draw control and winning the game in women’s lacrosse was computed. This determined if winning the draw controls corresponds to winning the game. The correlation of winning draw controls and winning the game was found to be .458 which is a strong correlation. It was determined that the alternative hypothesis was supported and the null hypothesis was rejected.
