dc.description.abstract | Playing Morticia in The Addams Family, a Carthage Music Theatre Workshop, serves as my Senior Thesis for a B.A. in Music Theatre. In this thesis I will validate the knowledge that has been acquired through my classes here at Carthage. I will demonstrate on how to construct a role intellectually and bringing it to life in the rehearsal space. This project excites me because it is different from every other role I have played at this school, and I will be able to present an expanded skill set in comparison to when I started my journey at Carthage College. Through hard work and research on Morticia Addams, I have focused on the process of building the character from casting through the final performance. | en |
