A print depicting a large hand holding a fountain pen, which diagonally divides the piece in half. The left half of the piece contains the seated figures of two men printed in white ink over black, and an object that appears to resemble the back of a chair. To the right of the piece is a black chart with several words and pictures depicted in white ink, with instructions at the bottom of the chart on how to properly hold a pen.
