The purpose of this research is to propose practical activities integrating Japanese culture into a Japanese language classroom. Therefore, the main focus of this project is to develop the most effective activities in order to teach Japanese culture practically, assuming a specific setting for this research. In order to create effective activities, cultural criteria are defined considering both the theoretical support taken from the literature review, and the practical support from the professional interviews. In conclusion, the cultural activities are made using cultural content, which is an integration of cultural concepts and linguistic content. Four total activities are presented in order to enhance American students' cultural awareness and proficiency.
