Using Brain-Based Teaching Methods

The purpose of this study was to modify a curriculum using brain-based teaching methods. Research in the area of how the brain stores and retrieves information, in addition to research on effective teaching methods is provided. Learning is divided into three distinct areas in this paper. The areas are the learning process, learning environment, and learning methods. These distinct areas are further separated into nine types of teaching methods. An example guide modifying a specific curriculum in the areas of vocabulary, reading, spelling, and language using these specific teaching methods is included.
