In this project, a guidebook for parents/caregivers of preschoolers was created. The guidebook is specifically geared towards families of low socioeconomic status. The guidebook will instruct parents/caregivers on how to read various children's books with their children in research proven ways that will increase their children's emergent literacy skills. By following this guidebook, parents/caregivers will engage their children in strategies that develop both the inside-out and outside-in skills needed to be ready to learn to read upon school entry.en_US
