dc.description.abstractBeing a classroom teacher is a challenging task. Dealing with students, parents, other teachers, and administrators on a daily basis makes it very demanding. Students come from a variety of different backgrounds and skill levels and teachers are expected to give every student an equal opportunity to succeed. Success in the classroom has been brought even more to the forefront because school funding has been linked with student performance on standardized tests. It is a very high stakes challenge to prepare students for these tests and to be lifelong learners as well as give them the skills necessary to succeed in the real world. There is an increasing emphasis for classroom teachers to do more to help ensure that all students are succeeding inside the classroom. Due to the passing of new legislation (IDEA 2004) teachers and school districts are required to show evidence of using Response to Intervention (RTI) to show what they are doing for all students in the classroom to help them succeed. The purpose of this paper is to create a guide to the implementation of an RTI program to help classroom teachers and school administrators ensure that all students are succeeding.en_US
