    Abstract
Technology has become an instrumental mechanism for teaching students, especially those with disabilities. As technology becomes more influential in students learning, educators are looking for effective ways to teach students with technology. The researcher examined previous' studies that have investigated regarding the use of technology with special education students. During the -examination of previous research, common themes emerged including: Assistive technology, innovation, empowering students, and preparing teachers. Recent studies have investigated technology in special education, teacher's perception of the use of technology, and general education teachers' true understanding of the entire Individualized Education Program (IEP) process and how technology fits into this process. This project was written to address the issues associated with teachers understanding of the IEP process and the technology associated with this process.
