Providing an effective learning environment for second language learners is an important role for language instructors. The target population of this thesis project is young adult Japanese L2 learners who study at a Japanese language school in Japan. This project researched the best way to provide lessons which reduces students’ stress and builds trust, thus enabling them to be more motivated, engaged, and comfortable in the classroom. The research was then used to create a Japanese instructional lesson plan guide.en_US
