A Comprehensive Guide for Pregnant Adolescents

Abstract

The purpose of this project was to develop a comprehensive source of information regarding reproduction, pregnancy, childbirth, infant and childcare, and community services and resources for Kenosha area pregnant adolescents. Kenosha Unified School District, School Age Parent Program instructors, hospital childbirth education and maternity unit personnel, and Kenosha County Health Department nurse personnel were interviewed, all concurred that the need for such a guide was great. The guide was written in clear and concise language targeted at the adolescent. In addition, it includes an extensive glossary and list of Kenosha area resources. It may be used in its entirety or easily divided into sections for use.
