Development and Testing of an Evaluation Tool for Early Foreign Language Instruction

Many recommendations have been made regarding early foreign language instruction and more particularly the ability of children to learn a foreign language. Researchers and foreign language specialists developed methods to teach at the primary level. This study presents a checklist for evaluating the method of teaching a foreign language at the primary school. This checklist has been used by five people who went to observe foreign language classes. This tool is based on the literature in foreign language instruction. The purpose of this evaluation form is to be objective. Hence, it would be an helpful tool for foreign language teachers at the primary school.
