Design and Distribution of Evaluation Instruments Which Examined Three Goals of a Gifted and Talented Summer Program
Abstract
Evaluation instruments which examined three goals of a gifted and talented summer program were designed and implemented in this project. Evaluation instruments were designed based on information gathered from two sources. These sources were current literature regarding gifted and talented program evaluation and examples of current gifted and talented program evaluations. The newly designed evaluation instruments were administered. Findings were analyzed and results compiled which revealed whether this program adhered to the three selected program goals. Based on a 64% respondent return rate of the evaluations which pertained to the three selected program goals, it was concluded that substantial adherence to these goals was achieved.
