Regular Education Initiative and Its Effect on Student Self-Concept
MetadataShow full item record
This study examined the effects that the placement of a learning disabled (LD) student has on his or her self-concept. Two sets of LD children were studied, one placed in the traditional special education setting, and the other in a regular education initiative (REI) program. Data collected through a pre and post test suggested that significant gains in self-concept were made by the students in the REI program and that future changes should be considered as to which setting an LD student should be placed.
