dc.description.abstractThis research study compared the academic attitudes of sixth grade gifted/talented students towards report cards with letter grades versus those with narrative evaluations. The nineteen students involved in the study were all part of a three year gifted program for grades 3, 4 and 5. This program used narrative evaluations quarterly to report student progress. These students are currently in a program that issues report cards with letter grades as their reporting system. The results of this study contradicted what was mentioned in the related literature. The students, overall, preferred the report cards with letter grades to that of the narrative evaluations.en_US
