Young Adult Novels: Analysis With Implications For Senior High School Teachers

Abstract

With the current trend toward relevancy in education what it is, teachers are taking a serious look at the young adult novel of the '70s as a solution to the cries from students for books that mean something to them. The current literature presents a case for meeting those cries while improving reading attitudes and interests in the process.
