I am a double major in music theater and vocal performance. While I will be doing some theatrical works, this recital will be my thesis project for my vocal performance degree. I will be presenting pieces in Italian, German, and French, as well as an Ave Maria set in Latin, and a couple music theater songs. It is also my hope to perform a piece with the Lincoln Chamber Singers, a group in which I have participated for three years. I anticipate the most depth of my program notes to be focused on the Ave Maria set. At the time of my recital I will have studied with Elena Batman for eight semesters (as well as the twelve months that preceded my return to Carthage College for my senior year) and Lorian Schwaber for two. I will have performed in three music theater workshop productions and one opera workshop, as well as (hopefully) a mainstage musical. I will have performed with the Carthage Choir and Lincoln Chamber Singers for six semesters. I will have completed all other course requirements for the vocal performance program. It is my hope that my recital will reflect the influence and success of these.en_US
