Senior Violin Recital: A Music Senior Thesis (MUS 4990)

Abstract

This thesis documentation is submitted in partial fulfillment of the Bachelor of Arts in Music from Carthage College, to accompany a violin performance project recital given on April 3rd, 2022. This project was selected to demonstrate a high undergraduate level of music performance in violin, and draws upon private study, music theory, aural skills, music history, and chamber music coursework. The program consists of two major sonatas, Debussy’s G minor and Prokofiev’s D major Op. 94a, as well as Clara Schumann’s Three Romances.
