4cr This project-based course introduces computational methods and tools used to analyze data in 21st century scientific research and engineering. Effective data visualization and fitting techniques, statistical measures of data quality, Monte Carlo methods, and quantitative image processing are the principal topics of the course. The course also introduces the MATLAB numerical computation environment widely used in academia and industry.
