    Little Women
    Abstract
My name is Rachel Skowronski, and I have been given the opportunity to portray the role of Marmee in Little Women, directed by Sophie Michalski for my capstone Music Theatre senior project. Little Women is the musical adaptation of the semi-autobiographical civil-war era novel written by Louisa May Alcott. The story follows the four March sisters and their mother while their father is away at war. The characters come to life through Jo’s writing where she tells fairytale-like stories of blood, guts, trolls, knights, and marriage. This heartwarming story highlights the bonds that tie families together, the bond of sisterhood, and what it means to be a mother.
