    4cr The study of formal and informal diagnostic procedures for identifying strengths and weaknesses of students' reading, and the successful implementation of programs designed to meet the individual needs of students in learning the language arts. In addition, an emphasis will be placed on the role of linguistics in reading development. Fieldwork required. Prerequisites: Admission to the Teacher Education Program Corequisite: EDU 3260 and EDU 3160 Fall/Spring
