Spatial distribution of precipitation during El Nifio, La Nifia, and Non-ENSO years is examined in the Great Lakes region for the years 1948 through 1996. Maps of each season and group of years were created to aid in determining the spatial patterns of precipitation in the basin. The results show that the Great Lakes region experienced decreased precipitation during El Nifio and increased precipitation during La Nifia years. Results of Non-ENSO years were like those of El Nifio for the most part.en
