Bacillus thuringiensis is a naturally occurring soil pesticide and through several studies it has come to be useful in many ways as a pesticide, but some strains have displayed plant-growth promoting characteristics. This study further examined this by applying common Bt soil additive to cabbage from the early stages of growth and tracking their size over fourteen weeks. Some unexpected encounters with fungus gnats occured in this investigation on the versatility of Bt, which ultimately ended the study early and likely contributed to the lack of significant results observed in this project.
